Brimming vessels is going to be a place where people can come to build community, a place where local vendors will be supported and a place where people can enjoy great food. The doors to Brimming Vessels are open and we are already seeing an impact in the neighborhood we serve. The space will also be used for different community building activities including conversation classes, cooking classes and art workshops.

I have studied hotel management and my sister has been working with international students for many years. Together we started the project, Brimming Vessels.

Currently we are in an urgent need for
• seating and furniture to have enough seating space to accommodate the conversational classes and our guests;
• final licenses from the government, and some safety things – including fire safety.

Project Updates

UPDATE 14 May 2026
We are currently in the process of starting to build a bench for the inside space and we are also working on the outside shade. For both things fundis (local worksmen) have started work on the same. We will have pictures soon.

UPDATE 3 June 2026
At the cafe we have been having so many different people coming – some of our friends and new friends from the community. It has been amazing to build new friendships and new relationships with these people, as some of them have been coming more than once to buy food/drinks, and so slowly we are getting to know them and have more conversations.

Through your continuous support in your giving as well, we are currently working on seating furniture (the local fundis-worksmen) to be able to host more guests and to have bigger groups come. We are so so grateful for all that you are giving and have given it means a lot to us!

Some things to continue lifting up for please are, we have been unwell on and off for quite some time, it has been a fight, so please pray for our health and strength.
And also for finances, we have quite a few things to clear for supplies of the cafe that our suppliers gave us on credit as well as there’s some funds still left that’s needed to finish with the remaining furniture and shed needed to be put up.
